Recently The Foam Co Ltd purchased a KK 500 SA (semi automatic), for their premises based in Oxfordshire. The Company is a UK foam mattress manufacturer and produce foam conversion fibres for various household markets nationwide.
The company has been in operation for 26 years and prides itself in being a family run business with 35 employees.
Due to the nature of their business, they required a baler that could deal with the amount of foam and fibre they produce. Although they already had a baler in operation, they found the machine inefficient and labour intensive.
The Chairman of the Foam Company decided they needed a machine that could deal with their specific material waste and help with their general housekeeping. After finding our details via the internet, our Sales Director, Barry Pullen, went through the company’s requirements by offering a free site survey and recommended the KK 500 SA as the appropriate machine for the business, even taking key employees to other customer locations to see for themselves the machine in operation.
The KK 500 SA proved to be a successful purchase as it enabled the company to reduce its overall waste costs. This versatile machine not only allowed them to deal with foam and fibre material, but also helped with cardboard and plastic waste, to further their commitment to recycling.
Financially the company was able receive a return on their cardboard and plastic bales, which ultimately reduced their total waste bill. From a non financial perspective, the company had the capacity to achieve good housekeeping, which was an important factor for them.
Ian Perry, the Operations Director of the Foam Company Ltd, managed the whole process of the machine’s installation and was extremely happy with the service KK provided from initial consultation and site survey to the installation of the machine within the factory premises. For the Foam Company, the KK 500 SA has become an integral part of their daily business, allowing them to work more
