Here in the UK, as a charity project, a tiny forest was planted in Witney, Oxfordshire. Said to be the first of its kind the little forest will consist of 600 trees and be about the size of a tennis court. The forest is intended to not only benefit the environment but to inspire others to plant their own little forests around the world.
The charity involved was Earthwatch and had the help of IVN Nature Education, which has planted nearly 100 tiny forests in the Netherlands.
